What is Psychoeducational Groupwork?

Our Psychoeducational Groupwork gives people the opportunity to learn about mental health and develop their self-awareness, skills and strategies to better manage their mental wellbeing. The shared group experience can be really valuable for participants.

We provide courses in Promoting Better Sleep, CBT for Anxiety, Seasons for Growth, and Improving Self-esteem and Communications. See below for more information.

Promoting Better Sleep

Disturbed sleep can impact on every aspect of our lives and reduces our mood and cognitive abilities. Lack of sleep can be caused by a number of reasons and this course looks at both the mechanics of sleep and ways to examine our sleep preparation, sleep quota and what barriers we may have to overcome to get a better sleep regime.

CBT for Anxiety

This course gives participants the opportunity to gain knowledge of anxiety, develop self-awareness and learn to apply practical cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) techniques to identify, monitor and mange their own anxiety.

Seasons for Growth

While change, loss, and grief are normal parts of life, they can often leave us struggling to accept what has happened, and unable to move on. Our Seasons for Growth group aims to help individuals work through this process as it draws on the metaphor of the seasons.

It provides the opportunity for each participant to integrate the appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes to understand and cope with this process.

Improving Self-esteem and Communications

This course gives participants the opportunity to gain knowledge, increase self-esteem and learn new ways of communicating their needs.
