The COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate is a professionally recognised SCQF level 8 qualification in counselling skills, making it the perfect course to start you on your journey.
The COSCA (Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland) validated course aims to provide a general introduction to the skills of counselling. The course develops four essential themes – counselling approach skills, theory, self-awareness and ethics.
Yes it is! The COSCA Counselling Skills course in an accredited SCQF Level 8 course.
In addition to anyone looking to develop a career in counselling, this course is ideal for a wide range of people working in a variety of industries, where an advanced , empathic approach is needed. In particular (but not limited to):
Each module comprises 30 hours of formal instruction and approximately 12 hours of personal study.
The fee for 2022 is £1300, this includes digital copies of all of the COSCA workbooks required for the course.
Once you have been offered (and accepted!) a place on the course, we will require a deposit of £325 to secure your spot. The deposit will cover the payment of the first module of your course.
We can offer payment plans for the remaining fee if this is more suitable. Please let us know when you apply if you would be interested in a payment plan. There is a 5% surcharge for payment plans.
We run COSCA Counselling Skills courses throughout the year and our next start date will be August 2024.
